Hidden Ponds RV Resort is open May 1 to November 1, when the weather is at its most mild and glorious best, along the shores of Lake Michigan. Enjoy balmy temperatures in the low to upper 70s as you head out to enjoy beaches, museums, history, hiking, dining, kid stuff, wineries, shopping, fishing, and so much more.
North Beach
The highlight of your Michigan trip is a beautiful, broad beach north and south of the Black River Harbor and the famous South Haven Pier and Lighthouse. Excellent beaches with lots of level sand and clear, shallow water for swimming. Launch your paddle board or kayak right from the shore. Nearby parking too!
Michigan Maritime Museum
Give yourself an hour or two to take a cruise on fleet boats, from an antique tall ship to many charter trips on US Coast Guard approved vessels. Discover the history of the local maritime and ship-building industry. The Maritime Museum is a must-see for nautical fans.
South Haven Lighthouse
Just a short downhill walk from South Haven’s quaint shoppes & town center, the Lighthouse offers a panoramic view of mighty Lake Michigan’s often crashing waves. Feel the power of Nature! Or watch a beautiful Lake Michigan Sunset!
Kal Haven Trail
Hike or bike through the woods on a dog-friendly, well-maintained 30-mile trail of crushed stone that follows a former railroad line. Take selfies with views of the Black River and the bridges.
HookUp Sportfishing Charters – Fish!
That’s what’s for dinner! Captain Cory knows the best fishing locations. Children are welcome and the HookUp is equipped with child-size life vests. Bring your Michigan fishing license and a cooler, because you WILL catch plenty of fish. If Captain Cory is booked there are many other charters!
Kids’ Corner Playground
Take your small children or grandchildren to Kids’ Corner. The timeless play structures are all new! There are lots of swings, including regular size swings, swings for babies, and even a swing that accommodates handicapped children. Right across the street from the beach. Free!
